Captain Lescure Attends Extrication Training

Captain Larry Lescure attended a 16 hr Advanced Vehicle Extrication school sponsored by the Stewart County and Paris Landing Fire Departments on Sept. 11-12.  The course presented students with advanced rescue scenarios involving multiple patients, multiple vehicles and unique situations. This hands-on course is considered the “next step” above basic extrication.

The Department of Public Safety provides fire/rescue for all traffic crashes in the City of Waverly.  Captain Lescure, in addition to his investigative duties, is responsible for the supervision of the Fire and Rescue division of the Department of Public Safety.
