Det. Ahne Attends Training
Detective Tony Ahne attended the 2010 Clandestine Laboratory Investigators Association Conference in Nashville September 13-17. The Conference is for investigators who are involved in the investigation and cleanup of methamphetamine and other drug labs. The school focuses primarily on methamphetamine (meth) investigations and included the opportunity for students to work with chemists in the actual manufacture of meth. The exercise gave investigators hands on experience in the meth manufacturing process, which will provide greater insight into the investigative process.
The conference also included a “Train the Trainer” section, which prepares Det. Ahne to instruct other officers in the handling of Meth Labs.
Detective Ahne is assigned to the Vice Unit which is a joint unit with the Waverly Police Department and the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s Detective Wesley Hagler who is also assigned to the Vice Unit attended the training as well.
