Drug Search Conducted at WCHS

The Waverly Police Department along with school officials conducted a random K9 drug sweep at Waverly Central High School today.  School Resource Officer Greg Triplett along with K9 Officer David Ross and partner Axle conducted the searches.  “The searches today demonstrate our school official’s commitment in working with the Police Department to keep our schools drug free” said Chief David Daniel.

One student was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernelia after K9 Axle indicated on the scent of marijuana from his vehicle.  Captain Grant Gillespie, FTO Devin Elliott and Officer Shaun Wilson assisted with the searches.
