Shaun Wilson has been named the 2010 Police Officer of the Year.  The award was given at the City Christmas Dinner and is voted on by members of the Police Department. “Shaun was selected by the members of the Department because of the consistent quality of his work.  He is a dedicated and hard working officer”, said Chief David Daniel.  Officer Wilson has been a member of the department for three years.

This year’s award was sponsored by Porch-Stribling-Webb Insurance Agency and included a $250 cash award which was presented at the City Christmas Dinner.  Pictured below are Mayor David Vaughn, Police Officer of the Year Shaun Wilson, Dave Porch (Porch-Stribling-Webb Insurance Agency) and Chief of Public Safety David Daniel.
