2014 Officer of the Year
Officer Chris Taylor has been named Officer of the Year for 2014. The Officer of the Year is nominated by the members of the department. “Officer Taylor has been a very active officer and has made several felony cases this year,” said Chief Grant Gillespie. “He is a great example of meeting the high standards we expect from our officers.”
Officer Taylor has been with the Department since 2011 and was also named a Field Training Officer (FTO) this year and became a member of the department’s Special Response Team. In his duties as an FTO, Officer Taylor will be responsible for training new officers.
