It is wise to keep a fire extinquisher in the kitchen.  Keep it approx. 10 ft away from the stove on the exit side of the kitchen.

Report door to door or travelling salesmen to the police department.  Unsolicited door to door sales are prohibited in the city limits.

Parents, be a good example…. Don’t drink and drive.  Remind your children to call you if they’re ever in an uncomfortable situation.  Teach them never to get in a car with someone who’s been drinking.

Seat Belt Safety…. Always wear your seat belt, and insist that your passengers do the same. One non-restrained passenger can seriously injure others in the vehicle.

Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence.  Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example.  Be a good role model!
