Suspect Charged in Curtis Drive Homicide

Waverly Police Department Detectives arrested Charles Shear, 22, of Waverly, last night on a charge of Second Degree Murder in the death of his wife, Brandi Shear, 22, of Waverly. Officers were called to a residence at 105 Curtis Dr. on a report of gunshots being fired. When the Officers arrived they discovered Brandi Shear deceased in her vehicle in the driveway.
Waverly PD Detectives Mike Hubbs and Jonathan Fortner are investigating the incident with the assistance of the TN Bureau of Investigation. The investigation revealed that shots had been fired by both the husband and the wife during the exchange. No one else was injured in the shooting. Charles Shear is currently in the Humphreys County Jail under a $300,000 bond.

He was always so quiet. She was even more quiet. So sad to know that her babies will nevwr get the chance to really know her but will have to suffer through the rest of their life with out either parent. Even tho he wasn’t the biological father to the oldest, he was always there. Brandi, you will be greatly missed. R.I.P. and fly high my friend.

Before you go acting all indignant and painting him as the bad guy get all the info, it doesn’t say who shot first, or that they would even be prosecuting him. This is the common practice with any situation in which a gun I fired and a person looses their life, including self defence. For all you know you are hating on a guy who was trying to protect himself and/or others. They cant release all the info because its still under investigation. Their is a reason you’re not being payed the big bucks to investigate this, you don’t have the training or the expertise, stop judging based only on one article with no evidence or specifics.

i agree with Nathan….my husband went to this scene and said that she was shot multiple times. i have heard that it was an accident. but we dont know at this point cause they have not revealed all the info yet. thats whats wrong with this world today. people always judging people by their looks, or how they dress, how they talk, and etc. but anyways we cant judge anything right now until all the info is put out there. this is how word gets around wrong and then rumors get spread cause people are quick to judge before actually getting the whole story.

Well technically we do not have the right to judge anyone. Even if it was self defense he still killed her. He could have hid. Along with her and just called the cops on one another. And no deaths. But people don’t use their brains. They don’t think before actions. When they are mad they just go crazy. She had several gun shot wounds……that line says something for itself as well. He had none. She had several. Somethings missing here.

Sometimes you can’t get away in the moment…I know others who have been victims of spousal abuse…and if they hadn’t defended themselves, they would be dead right now. But Nathan is right…we don’t know the whole story yet, so unless you know the persons well, don’t judge.

Sorry, I must be missing where it says she was shot multiple times, because I don’t see that in this post. Aside from that, your idea of hiding and calling the police is only valid if the instigator of violence isn’t seeking you out with a weapon.
Further more, and I don’t know if you’ve ever fired a gun, “multiple shots” can be fired off in a matter of seconds, or A second for that matter. They can also be fired over your shoulder as you’re running away.
Remember, it says she was Found in her vehicle, not shot in her vehicle. At this point, no one has a single right to speculate or make anyone out to be the villain here. This is for the court and investigation to determine. Honestly wish people would stop spreading rumors and preaching their opinions as facts with all of this “Well, I heard” B.S

I can personally attest for her having some sort of anger issues. So it is quite possible that she shot first. Brandi and I had a little relationship before they got together. But there is no telling what happened. It’s just sad to see a person I had such close interactions with get shot and pass.

she was a good person okay… they found guns on he no guns on her they searched so thats what he says he could of shot her then said crap… put her in the car then made it seem like she shot first we wont no but just dont try to pin it all on her.

last i heard she was in her car leaving when he shot her . and i know she would never shot at the house her new born baby was in .
