In the late hours of Saturday night and the early morning hours of Sunday, July 20-21, this vehicle was witnessed running over a street sign on East Main Street.  There were also other signs damaged throughout the city that night.  Anyone having information concerning who was driving the truck that night is asked to call Officer Shaun Wilson at 29604300 or Crimestoppers at 296-2414.  A reward may be available for information and callers to Crimestoppers remain anonymous.    

The Waverly Police Department is cautioning residents about a dangerous new trend of people getting high by “huffing” or inhaling Freon from air conditioning units. The Waverly Police Department is asking for your help in identifying two suspects who broke into the James Recycling Center during the early morning hours of December 6. The burglars stole a pickup truck which was later recovered as well as a large amount of copper. The suspects were captured on video surveillance.
