WPD Cautions Residents About Scammers

The Waverly Police Department wants to caution residents about home improvement scams that recently occurred to at least two city residents. On March 23, a local homeowner reported that two men offered to put roof sealer on her roof. They agreed upon a price and after the work was done, they attempted to overcharge the resident. WPD Saddened by Loss of K9 Axle

The Waverly Police Department regrets to announce that our canine, Axle, died this morning from complications of a heart condition. Axle, who was 9 years old, began his service with the Department in 2004. He was certified in narcotics detection and criminal apprehension and tracking.
