Local Man Indicted for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Press ReleaseFebruary 3, 2026 James Tyler Dabbs, 33, of Waverly was indicted on Monday by a Humphreys County Grand Jury for 68 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  This follows an investigation by the Waverly Police Department after multiple explicit images and videos were found during a search warrant of Dabbs’ electronic devices. The TN Supreme Court issued an order requiring the wearing of masks while conducting court business for all courts in Tennessee.  This will apply to the City of Waverly Municipal Court, which will be held this week on Wednesday, July 15 at 2 pm.  This is the first time we will hold in-person court proceeding since the emergency orders have been in place.  Cases from the May court date were reset for July 15.
