Officers Jeremy Brooks and Shaun Wilson attended a 3 day Street Crimes Seminar hosted by the Spring Hill Police Department.  The course was put on by John E. Captain Lescure Attends Extrication Training

Captain Larry Lescure attended a 16 hr Advanced Vehicle Extrication school sponsored by the Stewart County and Paris Landing Fire Departments on Sept. 11-12.  The course presented students with advanced rescue scenarios involving multiple patients, multiple vehicles and unique situations. This hands-on course is considered the “next step” above basic extrication. The Department of Public Safety maintains an organizational chart with current assignments and the chain of command.  The chart is organized based on job assignment, so employees may appear in several locations based on their assignment at the time. DPS Receives Safety Grant

DPS Receives Safety GrantAugust 31, 2010 The Tennessee Municipal League (TML) recently awarded the City of Waverly Department of Public Safety its Safety Partners Grant.  The $1,500 matching grant is used to assist with the purchase of safety related equipment.  The grant will be used to purchase high visibility traffic vests, rain gear, and flashlights for personnel, as well as an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
